Curious About The Hackathon?
Here's What You Need to Know.

The hackathon is open to students, professionals, AI enthusiasts, designers, software engineers, product thinkers, and startup teams. Teams can either be all-women teams or led by at least 50% women.

The hackathon will take place on 19 September 2026 at the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Lagos, Nigeria.

Yes. You can apply individually or as a team.

Participants are expected to come with a laptop, charger, internet-enabled device, and any tools they may need for designing, building, or presenting their ideas.

The 2026 edition is a fully in-person experience.

The event will include registration, networking sessions, opening talks, team formation, building sessions, mentorship support, project pitching, judging, and an award ceremony where winning teams will be announced.

Yes. Some technical foundation is required. You should have familiarity with coding fundamentals or prior experience building projects or products. We also expect fluency with AI tools, or at least some prior exposure. That said, if you're part of a team with strong technical coverage, we welcome members who bring deep product or design experience. We'll share prep materials and give everyone time to get up to speed before we begin.
